Composer Academic Educator

Dr Austin Griffiths  is a composer, music educator, and academic. Since 2010 he has worked in several universities including Warwick, Bath Spa, and University College London (UCL). In 2013 he was awarded a Giving to Warwick Prize for innovative and high quality research. Currently, he is a doctoral supervisor at UCL and leads the academic programme for Teach First music teachers at  Bath Spa University.

Austin's compositions are in the classical genre, although he also experiments with electronic resources. His main working platforms are Sibelius and Presonus Studio One. Much of his work is intended to be used as dance or ballet music and he is seeking to develop more links with dance companies and organizations.
